Dr. Jolynn Hoang

Originally from Victoria, Texas, Dr. Jolynn Hoang earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music History, Literature, and Theory from the University of Notre Dame — where she still cheers on the Fighting Irish every fall Saturday. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Houston College of Optometry, with clinical rotations at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry and Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas.

After practicing in private practice eye care in Texas, Dr. Hoang relocated to Phoenix in 2023 and joined the Active Eyecare of Surprise team. She specializes in primary care optometry, contact lenses and select specialty contact lenses, pediatrics, and ocular disease management — seeing patients as young as one year old. Dr. Hoang is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, baking, traveling, trying new foods, and exploring her interests in skincare and coffee.
